4-Week Live Training

The coaches who clients can't stop recommending have one thing in common. It has nothing to do with their certification.

Best Coach Ever is a 4-week live training that teaches you the art of narration and the three types of consent... the two specific skills that close that gap and make you the coach clients can't stop recommending.

Right now your clients and students have unlimited access to information, frameworks, and strategy. ChatGPT will answer their questions at 2am for free.

What it can't do is know when to stop asking questions and just tell your client what to do. It can't read a room full of students who are stuck and figure out why they're not implementing. It can't get genuine buy-in from a real human being who needs to feel heard before they'll take action.

You already know what your client needs. You're just not sure you're allowed to say it. Which is less about talent and more about skills.

Certified Coaches

Were taught to ask questions and stay out of the way. Which sounds noble until you're sitting across from a client who needs you to just say the thing.

Course Creators

Were never taught to ask questions at all, which is why their Q&A calls keep cycling through the same problems and nobody moves forward.

Both approaches leave clients stuck in the same place:  informed but not moving.

Best Coach Ever is a 4-week live training that gives you two crucial skills to close that gap and make you the coach clients can't stop recommending.

A Lot of Coaches and Course Creators Are Stuck at One of Two Extremes

Door One: You were trained to ask questions and honor your client's inner wisdom.
Sure, there's real wisdom in that because clients have their own answers, their own wisdom, their own agency.

Door Two: You coach through your content.
You're a course creator and a total expert at what you do. Yet, other than a couple of star students, people don’t implement like they should and you can’t figure out why.

Both doors lead to the same place: a coaching relationship that's good, but not great.

Dallas

Since 2007, I've been designing my own brand of coaching.

My certification gave me a foundation. But it took seventeen years of real client work to figure out what actually creates transformation — and it looked nothing like what I was taught.

I call it SwitchCraft. The best coaches know when to ask questions and when to just give advice — and they know, in any given moment, which one the conversation needs.

They trust their client's wisdom and their own. That's the whole practice.

We'll start with the two skills that make SwitchCraft possible in any coaching conversation: the art of narration (naming what's happening in real time, for your client and for yourself) and the practice of consent, in three distinct forms that transform a client from passive recipient to true partner.

The feedback I hear most consistently, across thousands of coaching relationships? "I became a better coach just from being coached by you." That's the SwitchCraft effect. Inside Best Coach Ever, you'll get your first real taste of it — whether it's during Q+A calls inside your course or in a one-to-one session. These two skills alone will change how every coaching conversation feels. For them and for you.

“Dallas gave me permission to actually show up in a way that was most helpful for my clients, moving away from ‘only ask powerful questions and trust their inner knowing!’ to switching between coaching, consulting, and advising. My clients immediately started noticing the difference (and pointing it out to me with gratitude!), and their results skyrocketed.”

Four weeks. Two Skills. One Completely Different Way of Showing Up.

1

Step Into a New Era of Coaching

Most coaching lives at one of two extremes: pure coaching (questions only, never advise) or pure teaching (here's the framework, follow the steps). Both fail clients in different ways.

Inside Best Coach Ever, we make the case for something better. You'll see clearly why only asking questions can leave clients stuck, and why only giving advice skips the inner work that makes change stick. And you'll finally have language for the thing you've been sensing was missing.

This is the week that reframes everything. You'll walk away with a clear understanding of why the coaching rules you were taught are actually limiting your clients and a permission structure to finally show up as the full expert you are.

Week 1: Tuesday ,August 4th at 9am - 10:30am PT
2

The Art of Narration

Narration is the skill of naming what's happening (out loud, in real time) so you and your client can work with reality instead of around it.
You'll learn two kinds:

Name It Narration — calling out what you observe in the client, even when they can't see it themselves. "You've mentioned feeling overwhelmed three times, but you keep adding more to your plate."

Claim It Narration — owning the friction, conflict, or urge inside you so it doesn't quietly hijack the session. "I can feel myself wanting to take you down a completely different path right now, and I'm trying to resist the urge"

This single skill will make your clients feel more seen than they ever have in a coaching conversation and it will make you feel more present than you've ever felt in one.

Week 2: Tuesday, August 11th at 9am - 10:30am PT
3

Three Flavors of Consent

Consent is so much more than a polite "is it okay if I share something?" before saying whatever they were going to say anyway.

Real consent is what makes the difference between a client who tolerates your coaching and one who's genuinely in it with you. It's the difference between advice that lands and advice that sits on a shelf. Between a client who implements and a client who nods and disappears.

There are three distinct types, and knowing which one a moment calls for is the skill.

Earned Consent. The unspoken green light that comes from a deep coaching relationship. No words needed. You've built enough trust that you both just know.

Curious Consent. When your instinct catches something beneath the surface, you ask permission before going there. "I'm noticing something underneath what you're describing. Would you be open to exploring it?"

Deliberate Consent. When you hand the client a real choice at a crossroads, not a leading question, but two genuine options. "I'm hearing two things going on. We could work on the email you want to send, or we could dig into what motivated the original announcement. Which feels most important today?"

Most coaches spend their whole career using one type without knowing the other two exist. You'll leave Week Three knowing exactly which one each moment calls for.

Week 3: Tuesday, August 18 at 9am - 10:20am PT
4

SwitchCraft in Action

Week Four is where the skills stop being concepts and start being yours.

This is where everything you've learned becomes a living, breathing coaching conversation. You'll watch a full Switchcraft session demoed live, practice in small groups with real feedback, and get your first look at the complete five-element framework that powers the New Era Coaching Academy. You'll leave knowing exactly what's possible when all the skills work together.

By the time you leave, you'll feel proud of your ability to serve your clients and students better than you ever have before.  You'll be well on your way to being The Best Coach Ever.

Week 4: Tuesday August 24th at 9am - 10:30am PT
5

How We Roll

We meet Tuesdays, August 4 through August 25, from 9:00 to 10:30am PT.

Each session opens with teaching straight from the Best Coach Ever curriculum, followed by Q&A, live demos, and role plays so you can put what you're learning to work in real time.

I've also built in some surprises along the way. Including a bingo card because learning should be fun.

Can't make it live? Replays are always available so you won't miss a thing.

Best Coach Ever is For You If:

  • You're a certified coach who sometimes feels like your training put you in a box because you want to give advice, but the rules say you're not supposed to.
  • You're a course creator or expert who wants to deliver way more value on your Q+A calls.  While your students get value, they don't always implement and the relationship feels more like consulting than transformation.
  • You've had clients who felt surprised (even delighted) by how much they grew through working with you, and you want to make that repeatable.
  • You want to be the coach clients can't stop recommending.
  • You want to future-proof your business in an era where information is free and transformation is the differentiator

This is Not For You If:

  • You believe coaches should never share their expertise. We respect that view; it's just not what this is.
  • You're looking for a passive, pre-recorded course. These are live sessions, and that's on purpose.
  • You're brand new to coaching or looking to pivot into it for the first time — Best Coach Ever is designed for people who are already coaching or teaching clients and want to get noticeably better at it.

“I always thought I was reading the room well. Turns out I was managing it. Every shift in someone's face, every change in body language, I'd try to interpret it and smooth it over instead of letting the person name it themselves. This training showed me that over-responsibility is real, even for coaches who've been at this a long time. Now I create space for clients to narrate their own experience instead of doing the work for them. That shift alone changed how I show up in every session, private and group.”

— The most common thing Dallas hears from clients

Dallas Travers

iPEC Certified Coach • Founder of The New Era Coaching Academy • Coaching Since 2007

I've been coaching since 2007. My very first client was a guy named Tony. Tony came to me wanting help moving his acting career forward. I had years of expertise in exactly that. I knew things that would have genuinely helped him. And I spent session after session asking him open-ended questions and making him brainstorm his way to answers I could already see.

I told myself I was honoring his inner wisdom. What I was actually doing was following the rules at his expense.

That's my honest beef with how this industry trains coaches. Somewhere along the way, somebody decided that sharing your expertise was a violation of the coaching relationship. That asking questions was always more respectful than giving answers. That the client's inner wisdom should lead even when that wisdom has never launched a course, built a business, or navigated the specific problem sitting in front of you both.

I don't buy it. So seventeen years ago I started building something different.

I hold a certification from IPEC and made a deliberate choice not to pursue ICF certification. The ICF model requires coaches to never give advice under any circumstances. I have ICF accredited training. I just won't follow rules that put methodology ahead of my client's actual needs.

What I hear most consistently from people who work with me isn't "I hit my goals," though that happens too. It's "I can't believe how quickly we got to the bottom of this" and "I feel like you actually get me."

I'm delivering Best Coach Ever to raise the bar industry-wide. Our clients deserve the best of us, and we can develop the skills to deliver that.
